Launch Meeting at Langdon Hall

I was at a sales meeting this week, launch of a new indication for one of my company's outstanding products, Gemzar. Bunch of us went to Langdon Hall, in Cambridge, ON. Never been there before, fell in love with the beautiful place.

Sounds cheesy, but I will say it anyway - everyone worked hard knowing that we're in the business of saving lives, and through it all we became a stronger team!

Highlights: playing "Taboo" boys against girls. If you haven't already, highly recommend doing so with a bunch of friends. Normally sensible adults yell out the most ridiculous top-of-mind words in response to the clues given by their teammate, causing many to fall off their chairs and hyperventilate from laughing too much. And the hotel itself, the softest and "comfyest" beds at Langdon, huge bathroom and tub, and their food.

Hair-raising moment: a colleague from Quebec twisted an ankle and decommissioned out of the meeting mid-week. The ankle balloned to the size of a softball in 1 hour. Scary to see a 6-feet tall man yelp at the slightest tap on his foot. Hope he's better soon. We all send him our best wishes.

Icky moments: Wicked giant lady bugs that bite, and a poison ivy-laden hotel mascot (a.k.a. resident pet dog Lucy). Glad I didn't pet her the day we had our team-building exercise outdoors.
