It will be a while 'til winter passes

This is looking through the patio doors in the kitchen of my house, just a few days ago. I've figured it out - it's not the cold, snow or ice that makes me sluggish this time of year. It's getting up 7AM in pitch darkness and getting off work at 5:30PM, one full hour after the sun has already set! I think everybody must get some S.A.D. (seasonal affective disorder) just like me? Oh, I need some of my own medicine - Rx for sunshine

Longing to sing Robbie Burns' "Winter is Past":
The winter it is past, and the summer's come at last, and the small birds are singing in the trees....

So long that I haven't been to Toronto in winter time. Actually I am planning a trip to Northern Europe with Connie next year in early Oct.

I think Northern Europe would be fantastic. Afterall, what negative things could one say about people who in ancient days crossed an ocean to reach North America before many others, and in modern times have come up with "Ericsson", "Nokia" and "Ikea" just to name a few!
