New Refrigerator

The fridge at home is on its last legs, has been leaking fluid in strange places for the last month or so. Today, we went shopping on for a new one and finally settled on a GE 18cu feet model for $670CDN. Really liked a Samsung model with freezer on the bottom (had tidy drawers in freezer instead of metal racks), but it was 1 inch too tall for our kitchen cabinets.
A few things I learned about fridges:
1. Modern models use far less electricity, minimum savings are upto 60-70% / year for the same sized-fridge. Efficiency rules
2. There are so many models and colours to select from - black, steel, white etc... but it seems Beige / cream colours are so "OUT" cannot be found anywhere anymore! Sign of the times

Really can't find any beige color fridge these days....but CAD$670 for the fridge seems very expensive in HK's standard....plus you have 15% tax too.....WOW....

yeah, sigh...on the price I mean, goodness I could not care less for beige. I remember seeing some really cool colours and designs in Japan last year...I guess only in Japan.
