1st day of spring colder than middle of winter

Today was the official first day of spring. Yet, Toronto woke up to -15 degrees celsius - colder than 2nd week in January, when temperatures hit the positive mid-teens. Enough already, I am so longing for the warmer weathers of spring and summer, especially after the Mexico trip.

How did you celebrate this important day of the year? What did you do to bring in the first day of spring. Mine was uneventful: wake up, drive to work in a freezing car, eat a packed lunch, worked out, did some more work.....you get the drift.

Except that today was somewhat special in that because of work, I made a lot of phone calls to touch base with some contacts, many of them for the first time. It was refreshing to talk with som of those people "live". It's laughable sometimes at work when some people in the SAME office will choose to email me with an urgent question, rather than walk over and talk to me in person?

I also think that ppl in office are abusing Emails too much. Why don't they just pick up the bloody phone and talk to each other?

Totally agree - what's wrong with talking with people?
