Was at mid-year sales meeting up in the Muskoka region of Ontario. Stayed at the Taboo resort - fantastic food, meeting rooms, and great spa and other facilities for outdoor activities, i.e. golf! Their 3-room condos are the perfect way for a friends or a whole family to spend a few days or a weekend during the summer to bike, hike, golf, spa and stroll around the lake and the woods.
I was quite impressed with the privately-owned cottages around the resort, knowing that the likes of hollywood stars and NAmerican business tycoons have properties up in these neck of the woods. The favourite conversation starters this week: (1) "Think they own the island and the cottage?" (2) "Is that just the boat house or is that the cottage?" (3) "Would you buy property up here?" - A: No, 'cause I would not be able to afford it.
